MKFM Law is proud to announce that several of its attorneys have been selected as 2026 Super Lawyers and Rising Stars by the Super Lawyers rating service. This recognition reflects the firm’s ongoing dedication to providing exceptional legal service and knowledgeable advocacy to clients throughout the western suburbs of Chicago.

Managing partner George S. Frederick has been selected as a 2026 Super Lawyer for his work in employment litigation and family law. He focuses on representing employees in cases involving sexual harassment, discrimination, wrongful termination, retaliatory discharge, unpaid wages, and employment-related agreements. Additionally, he represents families in divorce and family law matters, providing strong counsel and litigation support. Mr. Frederick has been associated with the firm since 1996 and represents clients in both state and federal courts.

Partner Lynn M. Mirabella has been selected as a 2026 Super Lawyer for her work in family law. A former Assistant State’s Attorney in Kane County, she is certified to represent children as a Guardian ad Litem, Child’s Representative, and Attorney for Child, and is also certified in collaborative law, arbitration, mediation and parenting coordinator. Ms. Mirabella has held leadership roles in several bar and professional associations and frequently teaches classes and seminars in DuPage and Kane Counties.

MKFM Honors Attorney John B. Kincaid at Illinois Bar Foundation Gala

On October 17, several of the partners and attorneys from Mirabella, Kincaid, Frederick & Mirabella, LLC as well as family members of the late John B. Kincaid attended the Illinois Bar Foundation 2025 Gala in Chicago, where Mark D. Hassakis, former President of the Illinois Bar Foundation, highlighted the numerous contributions that Kincaid made to the Foundation.

Two of the firm’s partners, Henry D. Kass and Lindsay C. Stella, as well as several other of the firm’s attorneys, Stacey A. McCullough, Kira N. Albrecht, and Chad A. Baker represented MKFM Law at the 26th Annual Illinois Bar Foundation Gala. Mark D. Hassakis spoke highly of the late John B. Kincaid, who served as President of the Illinois Bar Foundation from 1996 to 1998. Hassakis praised Kincaid’s leadership, which ultimately led to the first successful fundraising effort by the Gala that grossed over $60,000.00.

John B. Kincaid was a highly active member of the Illinois Bar Foundation. In addition to his time as President, he also served as a Board Member for 13 years. He received multiple awards for his faithful service to the legal community in Illinois, including the Illinois Bar Foundation “Beacon of the Profession” Honorary Fellows Award.

Attorney Lacey Boulware at Wheaton Family Law Firm Appointed to ISBA Positions

Mirabella, Kincaid, Frederick & Mirabella, LLC is eager to share that Attorney Lacey Boulware has been appointed to two positions at the Illinois State Bar Association (ISBA), acting as a member of both the Standing Committee on Professional Conduct and the Young Lawyers Division Council. Our firm is proud of Attorney Boulware’s contributions to our legal team since she joined us in 2021, and we are fully confident that she will do great things with the ISBA.

As a member of the ISBA Standing Committee on Professional Conduct, Attorney Boulware reviews the provisions of the Illinois Rules of Professional Conduct, proposing amendments when necessary. In this role, she also advises other attorneys about best practices regarding ethical issues.

Attorney Boulware has also joined the ISBA Young Lawyers Division Council, where she helps attorneys build up connections in their field. The council consists of ISBA members under 37 as well as older attorneys who have been practicing for less than seven years. Attorney Boulware works with the council to develop programs and events for new attorneys, furthering the council’s mission of promoting inclusiveness and recognizing up-and-coming talent.

Attorney Jordan Jenquin practices family law and real estate law, having joined MKFM after previously working for Sidley Austin LLP in Chicago. Wheaton, IL Family Law Firm Awards $1,500 Resilient Student Scholarship

Fall 2025 Resilient Student Scholarship Winner

At Mirabella, Kincaid Frederick & Mirabella, LLC, we have built up a longstanding reputation as devoted advocates for families going through the trials and tribulations of divorce. To support children of divorced parents who have experienced extraordinary hardship, our firm has created the Resilient Student Scholarship, awarding $1,500 to one student per semester. After a thorough review, we are proud to announce the winner for the Spring 2025 semester, Peyton Hennig.

Peyton is a current junior at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an aspiring law student. Despite the personal hardships and financial pressure she has faced, Peyton has maintained a 4.0 GPA while also working to cover her living expenses. She plans to support her family by pursuing a career in law, determined to succeed in the face of adversity.

Our goal in establishing the Resilient Student Scholarship is to encourage students dealing with difficult family issues to persevere in their studies. This scholarship is open to students with divorced or unmarried parents who are enrolled in an undergraduate degree program at an accredited school. All applicants must submit a 500-word essay, or a two-minute video essay, describing the hardships that they have endured in their family and how those hardships have shaped their future aspirations.
